Friends of Bellingham Playground Development Project

Bellingham’s children’s playground on the Jubilee Field in the village is the envy of many much larger communities. And it would not exist without the tireless work of a determined band of volunteers led by project manager Joanne Roberts.

The Friends of Bellingham Playground Development Project raised an impressive £73,000 over two years to provide play equipment for children of all ages, including a zip wire, climbing frame, roundabout, swings and slides.

Under Joanne’s expert guidance, the group held various fund-raising events over those two years to ensure the children of the area have a play park they can be proud of. Joanne worked tirelessly with committee members to source grants and other income, and the village owes her a huge debt of gratitude.
