Bellingham Town Hall

To whom it may concern,
Joanne Roberts has been treasurer and chief financial officer of Bellingham Town Hall Committee throughout my association with the charity, and has always provided an impeccable service.

Her handling of the charity’s multifarious financial activities has been exemplary, with clear monthly reports of income and expenditure and a good command of future income streams. She has an uncanny knack of attracting grants from numerous sources to help fund the maintenance and restoration of the Victorian town hall for the benefit of the village – all on a voluntary basis.

I would have no hesitation in recommending her financial acumen to any individual, company or other organisation.

I am writing to you as Secretary of the Bellingham Town Hall Committee. I have known Joanne as a friend and neighbour for a number of years but recently as an outstanding member of the Town Hall Committee since September 2021.

Her work as Treasurer can be described as diligent, competent and very professional as she leads the Committee with exemplary conduct. Every penny of the accounts is scrupulously evidenced. However, Joanne’s role takes on many more duties, which she carries out in the same manner, and include writing policies on financial conduct, managing a vast army of volunteers organising community events (such as market fairs, bingo nights and jumbles sales), assisting with our local Hall Lottery and not least heading up all grant application work for the management and maintenance of the Hall.

In other words, my opinion is we can’t do without her!
